What's this all about?

Behind The Reason

Welcome to my passion project, the majority of the images featured here capture moments from my personal journey over the years. I am fortunate enough to make biannual trips to Italy. During September/October, my beloved wife and I embark on this adventure, and March, I assume the role of a cost-free tour guide. The allure of Italian culture has consistently held a special place in my heart, and the experience remains one of the most captivating aspects of my life. With roots in Colliano Italy, the connection feels almost innate for my family. Their way of life, coupled with the exquisite cuisine, fine wines, and breathtaking landscapes, instills in me a lasting sense of pride.

What's A Priority?

That's The Way It's Done

Italy, a country celebrated for its rich tapestry of architecture, culture, art, opera, literature, film, and fashion, is undeniably one of the top destinations for a foreign tour. What sets Italy apart is its landscapes, pristine beaches, historical treasures, monuments, and much more. Italy's true beauty lies in its unique approach to priorities. My experiences in Italy align with the charming idiosyncrasies of local culture. It's not uncommon to ask for directions and receive a winding explanation that eventually leads you right back to where you started. All done with a smile!

Its Really all about the Food?

Food For Thought

The main factors that make Italian food so popular around the world are its quality, simplicity, health benefits, affordability, variety and taste. We all agree that the simple ingredients used in Italian recipes are of amazing quality, whether it's juicy tomatoes, olive oil, bread or mozzarella and parmesan cheese, the ingredients are quality products and their simplicity makes them easily available and less complicated to use. This extends to other Italian dishes, such as hearty minestrone soup, polenta, creamy risotto, and arancini. Then there's the small matter of delicious Italian desserts like gelato and tiramisu...

What About The Culture?

Location Location Location

Italy has given rise to a number of architectural styles, including classical Roman, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical. Italy is home to some of the most famous structures in the world, including the Colosseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The concept of a basilica — which was originally used to describe an open public court building and evolved to mean a Catholic pilgrimage site — was born in Italy. The word, according to the Oxford Dictionary, is derived from Latin and meant "royal palace." The word is also from the Greek basilikē, which is the feminine of basilikos which means "royal" or basileus, which means "king."
